Limited Warranty Policy
DytSpectrumOwl ("DSO", "we", "us", or "our"), operated by Shenzhen Dianyang Technology Co., Ltd., engineers professional-grade infrared thermal imaging cameras, PCB thermal analyzers, and precision diagnostic optical instruments. Every DSO product is manufactured under stringent quality management standards and undergoes multi-stage technical calibration prior to customer delivery.
This Limited Warranty Policy establishes the scope, duration, eligibility requirements, and fulfillment procedures for warranty coverage on genuine DSO hardware products purchased directly from our official website at dytspectrumowl.com.
1. Warranty Period & Commencement
The warranty period begins on the official date of delivery to the purchaser, as verified by the carrier tracking delivery timestamp.
2. Main Camera Hardware Coverage (2-Year Limited Warranty)
Coverage Duration: Two (2) Years (24 Months) from the verified delivery date.
Eligible Products: Applies to all genuine DytSpectrumOwl main hardware products purchased directly from our official storefront, including benchtop PCB thermal analyzers, handheld industrial thermal cameras, and smartphone thermal imaging modules across all current and future production series.
Scope of Hardware Coverage: Covers qualifying defects in materials and workmanship affecting the main device under normal, intended operational conditions, including its core infrared detector (FPA sensor), optical lens assembly, digital signal processing board, main circuit electronics, onboard display panel, and internal power management systems, subject to the exclusions and limitations outlined herein and applicable law.
3. Accessories & Battery Coverage (1-Year Limited Warranty)
Coverage Duration: One (1) Year (12 Months) from the verified delivery date.
Eligible Qualifying Accessories: Applies to standard supplied removable lithium-ion rechargeable battery packs, manufacturer-supplied power adapters, USB interface cables, specialized diagnostic signal harnesses, and official mounting brackets included in the original packaging.
Exclusions from Accessory Coverage: Consumables, protective lens cleaning cloths, carrying straps, and standard cosmetic wear are excluded.
4. What This Limited Warranty Covers
During the applicable warranty period, DSO will, at its discretion and subject to verification through factory inspection, remedy qualifying defects in materials or factory workmanship that result in:
- Sensor performance failure, pixel degradation beyond acceptable industrial calibration tolerances, or uncorrectable image distortion occurring under normal operation;
- Mainboard component breakdown, unprovoked power failure, or hardware-level communication failure;
- Onboard display screen malfunction or backlight failure not resulting from external physical impact;
- Internal optical alignment defects arising from original factory assembly.
5. What This Limited Warranty Does Not Cover
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, this Limited Warranty does NOT apply to defects, malfunctions, or damage resulting from:
- Accidental Damage & Misuse: Drops, structural impacts, crushing, severe vibration exceeding rated specifications, or mechanical abuse;
- Environmental & Liquid Contamination: Exposure to liquids, corrosive chemicals, excessive dust, moisture ingress, or immersion exceeding the product's certified IP rating, or improper storage in extreme temperatures;
- Electrical Abuse: Connection to improper power sources, power surges, unapproved third-party fast chargers, or incorrect electrical wiring;
- Unauthorized Disassembly & Modification: Unauthorized opening of the camera housing, removal of warranty seals, tampering with optical lenses, third-party component installation, or unauthorized modification of internal firmware;
- Operation Outside Specifications: Operating the equipment beyond specified temperature measurement ranges or utilizing the equipment in unapproved high-radiation or hazardous environments;
- Normal Battery Capacity Degradation: Normal, gradual reduction in rechargeable battery capacity over time and charge cycles, which is inherent to lithium battery chemistry and does not constitute a defect in materials or workmanship;
- Cosmetic & Surface Wear: Superficial scratches, scuffs, paint wear, or aesthetic blemishes on outer plastic/metal casings that do not impair the technical measuring functionality of the instrument;
- Commercial Rental Programs: Devices utilized in third-party commercial equipment rental fleets without express written OEM fleet agreement;
- Lost or Stolen Equipment: Lost, misplaced, or stolen devices, or units purchased through unauthorized second-hand platforms.
6. How to Make a Warranty Claim
To initiate a warranty claim, please follow our standardized 6-step engineering service workflow:
Provide Information
Submit your official DSO order number, product serial number, defect description, and diagnostic photos/videos.
Technical Review
Our diagnostic engineers evaluate the fault remotely and determine if firmware or recalibration resolves the issue.
RMA & Safe Dispatch
If factory service is required, receive your RMA authorization and secure packing instructions for dispatch.
Factory Inspection
Upon receipt, the unit undergoes hardware diagnostic probing, optical alignment checks, and root-cause analysis.
Remedy & Return
Approved warranty defects are repaired or replaced, recalibrated, and returned via express courier.
7. Warranty Claim Shipping Costs

* Note: DSO does not provide automatic prepaid inbound shipping labels or universal two-way freight coverage prior to physical factory inspection and defect verification.
8. Available Warranty Remedies & Service Turnaround
Subject to applicable law and the specific circumstances of the verified claim, DSO will provide one of the following remedies at its discretion:
- Factory Repair: Repair the defective hardware using new or certified refurbished factory-grade replacement components at no charge for parts or labor;
- Product Replacement: Replace the defective product with a new unit or a functionally equivalent factory-refurbished unit of identical or superior performance;
- Alternative Legal Remedy: In circumstances where repair or replacement is commercially impracticable or technically impossible, provide another appropriate remedy in accordance with applicable consumer laws.
Replacement Product Warranty Terms: Any hardware product or component repaired or replaced under this Limited Warranty shall be warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period applicable to the original product (or such period as required by mandatory applicable law). Replaced parts become the property of DSO upon replacement.
9. Limitation of Liability & Statutory Rights
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- Exclusion of Consequential Damages: DSO, its parent company, subsidiaries, engineers, and suppliers shall not be liable under any legal theory (contract, tort, negligence, or strict liability) for any indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of commercial profits, revenue interruption, industrial downtime, loss of data, loss of business opportunities, or third-party engineering claims arising out of the use of or inability to use DSO products.
- Liability Cap: In no event shall DSO's total aggregate liability arising from or related to any product exceed the actual purchase price paid by the customer for the specific product giving rise to the claim.
- Statutory Exceptions: Nothing in this section excludes or limits liability for personal injury or gross negligence where such limitation is prohibited by mandatory applicable law.
Statutory Consumer Rights: This Limited Warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may also have other statutory rights which vary from country to country, state to state, or jurisdiction to jurisdiction. This warranty does not exclude, limit, or suspend any mandatory consumer rights granted by applicable national or regional consumer protection laws that cannot be lawfully waived.
